Meet Andrea Mason

Andrea has spent more than 40 years working with Montessori schools as a teacher, consultant, and life coach. She taught Primary classes in  both Atlanta, Georgia, and Tampa, Florida, where the philosophy of education revolved around respect, responsibility, and self-discovery. In 1985, she helped found and was the Primary Teacher for The Learning Tree – an AMI Recognized school that served the South Tampa community for 10 years.

Montessori coach Andrea Mason

In recent years, she has worked for AMI/USA as a Montessori school consultant, traveling around the country, supporting Montessori schools from New York to California to Florida in their AMI Recognition process. Andrea believes that the Montessori philosophy of “helping children help themselves” is the perfect foundation for coaching parents and educators, so they may find their own unique answers and solutions.

In 2004 Andrea diverged from teaching to become a certified Life Coach, only to discover that the Montessori philosophy of “helping children help themselves” is the perfect foundation for coaching clients to find their own unique answers and solutions.

Through her consulting work, Andrea observed the struggles and concerns of professionals working with children and saw the many benefits of Life Coaching for the community. She is passionate about Montessori education and its potential to influence the world. She’s using these principles and philosophies to the rest of the world.
